will invade 100%. its better to drop ur red/camps, not contest and go for counterjungling. also likes to lv2 cheese invade on blue. drop a ward in the river, when you see him coming drop your grump and walk to his raptors and take his topside instead other choices would be invading his blue side but risky since you need bot prio.

Hecarim Advanced Master Guide 14.8

Patch Notes
14.8: nothing changed but bad news are coming, next patch 14.9, hecarim core items eclipse, shojin and sundered sky are possibly getting nerfed which would kill the heca in an instant.
14.7: nothing changed.
14.6: nothing changed.
14.5: Changed main build. black cleaver is now almost always build 3rd. Opportunity still good for snowballing or squishy champions.
14.4: black cleaver did get buffed, good to buy if 2+ tanks otherwise build stays the same. Stridebreaker also got buffed but its still useless item.
I added a new build that i like for Conqueror users, its a tanky build with a lot of sustain, very good against melee champions.

Getting Invaded
I had a lot of problems with getting invaded and lost many games. Since your so weak early and you lose most 1v1s against conquerer/lethal tempo junglers, the higher the elo the higher the chance you get invaded. Your first clear is the most vulnerable especially against kindred, nidalee and rengar. its better to drop the camp and not contest them. counterjungling or ganking.
Q stacks
Most Hecarim players dont optimize or forget the Q stacks.
Its always a good time to fight if you have the maxed Q stacks.
Early game
Hecarim is a full clear jungler, farm and get ahead of cs. Look if theres enemy laners that are low hp and gank them otherwise dont bother and keep farming. If your laners are pushing hard make sure to look for counterganks since theres a high chance enemy jungler will gank them.
Lv3 Ganks
You can look for early Lv3 ganks if for example you have a laner that gets bullied a lot example talon vs kassadin. even if you dont kill talon its good to gank once midlane to damage talon a bit so kassadin can survive the lane. another example to gank lv3 is toplane ranged matchup like vayne or darius, you can also Lv3 gank them as they always push and play agressively, it will help out your laners immensely. and one more thing lv3 ganks only with red buff for the slow.
Pathing
95% of your games path botlane. you can path top if you think that in botlane nothing will happen, example 2 enchanter supps, lulu vs janna.
Waterwalking rune
Also most people forgot this rune.
It gives you attack damage and movement speed in rivers.
Fighting in rivers is preferable
Mid to Lategame
Hecarim is a good champ to do voidgrubs but only if you have prio on lanes or know that enemy jungler is on the opposite side. If enemy jungler is doing voidgrups and you have 0 prio on lanes go for drake. Buy control wards. Make sure your botlane is safe they like to die a lot. Avoid rift herald it takes to long and not that useful.
You can use your ults defensively to fear people that engage on your botlane/teammates or use it as a engage but theres a risk of missing and dying.
